About Phezulu 'Phez'

Phezulu ‘Phez’ is a Simonis Voogd Fast 42 Bermudian sloop based at Brighton Marina.

“Phezulu” is Swahili for “High ground ” and she was built in Durban, South Africa as a downwind racer. Now she just misses the South African sunshine.

She is 12.8m (L) x 3.8m (B) x 2.4m (D) and weighs in at a trim 6.5 tonnes.

Phezulu is a fun boat first, sailing competitively but not at the cost of allowing a good mix of crew to really enjoy fast sailing.

She sails with a maximum of 10 crew.
